
Known for its beastly build and performance, the KTM RC 200 is every bike lover’s dream. Recently the company came in the news with its revised model.

The frame
The trellis frame is now 1.5 kilograms lighter. The alloy wheels are also lightweight compared to the ones found in the previous generation of the bike.
Dimensions
Dimensions remain unchanged. Details are as follows –
The bike has a wheelbase of 1978 mm
It is 688 mm wide and
A seat height of 820 mm.
Its fuel tank capacity is now increased to 13.7-litres.
Design
The design of the bike now has a similarity with the revered KTM RC 16 MotoGP motorcycle. The new additions are:
LED headlamp unit,
LED DRLs and indicators
Wide and foldable RVMs
Ride quality
The ride quality of the bike is suitable for daily commute. The following are the revised features:
The clip-on handlebar is raised by 15 mm
Aluminium grab rail for the pillion rider
Redesigned LED taillight complimenting the re-engineered frame.
Engine
It has the same 199.5 CC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that came in the previous generation of the bike. Performance parameters are the same – 25.8 Ps and 19.5 Nm. It has the same 6-speed gearbox with unchanged gear ratios.
Mechanicals
The mechanical specs for the revised model are:
The new 320 mm front disc brake is lighter than the one found in the previous generation of the bike.
240 mm rear disc brake and ABS as standard OEM equipment.
WP APEX USD (Upside Down) 43 MM fork suspension unit at the front.
The travel length of the suspension is now increased by 10 mm.
WP mono-shock suspension at the rear.
Instrument cluster
The instrument cluster is re-designed. It is an LCD unit that is taken from the KTM Adventure 250.
Price
According to the official KTM bikes price list, the RC 200 retails at ₹2.04 lakhs – ₹2.11 lakhs, ex-showroom.
