The 2022 iteration of the RC 125 is a massive upgrade from its predecessor. Read on to learn more.
KTM recently unveiled the 2022 iteration of the RC 125. The upgrades were not limited to aesthetics. The Austrian OEM made sure that the changes trickled down to onboard features. There are also quite a few electromechanical adjustments made on the bike.
The entire bodywork of the KTM RC 125 has been heavily inspired by the fabled KTM RC8.
The bike now looks less sharp, to be honest, but it made the motorcycle more aerodynamic. More aerodynamic design means increased fuel efficiency. The bike now can run for 40 kilometres on a litre of petrol.
The visor on the bike is shaped like a bubble. The fairing on the bike as well as its fuel tank has been redesigned. The dual-projector headlamps are replaced by a single headlamp unit with a halogen bulb.
The turn indicators at the front are integrated into the front fairing. The subframe of the bike has been mechanically tweaked. This ensured that the pillion seat has more surface area thus allowing more wiggle room for the pillion rider.
The bike is available at a starting price of Rs. 2, 12,821*. Hence, it is best to apply for a bike loan from a reputed lender.
The fuel tank capacity now stands at 13.7-litres. The engine is the same 124 CC, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, BS6-compliant unit. The air intake has been revised and it is now a larger unit. The larger air intake now allows the engine to offer more low-end torque. The radiator unit, cooling the engine has been tweaked as well thus leading to better heat dissipation.
Other features on the 2022 RC 125 are as follows –
- A brand new LCD instrument cluster
- WP Apex USD fork suspension for the front wheel.
- WP Apex mono-shock suspension for the rear wheel.
- 320mm front disc
- 200mm rear disc and
- Light 5-spoke wheels.
