KTM is an Austrian brand that entered the Indian motorcycle market back in 2012 with the Duke 200.
The brand offers street bikes, compact sports bikes and adventure bikes in India. The KTM RC 200 is a compact sports bike. It is a fully-faired motorcycle with some unique selling points.
Some of the bike’s USPs are mentioned below –
- The top speed of the motorcycle is electronically limited to 140 KMPH.
- The bike is powered by a 199.5 CC engine. The motor is capable of producing 24.6 bhp @ 10,000 rpm. The peak torque produced by the motor is 19.2 Nm @ 8,000 rpm.
- Despite a 200 CC engine, the owner-claimed mileage of the bike is 34.5 KMPL.
- The fuel tank on the bike now comes with a 13.7-litre capacity.
- The engine has 4 valves for its single cylinder.
- The compression ratio of the cylinder is 13:3:1. A high compression ratio means that the engine produces more power in the power stroke. Furthermore, a high compression ratio also ensures the efficient burning of fuel and minimal exhaust fumes.
- The bike shared a lot of similarities with other KTM bikes in India. For instance, the engine is paired with an efficient fuel injection system and a revised liquid cooling system.
- The six-speed racing-tuned and track-tested transmission are paired with a wet multi-disc clutch that ensures smooth gear shifts.
- The bike is offered with dual disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. The front 320 mm disc is paired with 4 fixed pistons. The rear 230 mm disc is paired with 1 floating piston.
- Trellis frame, WP Apex USD front shocks and WP Apex rear monoshock are OEM standard packages.
