The Bajaj Pulsar brand has many bikes under it.
The Pulsar 125 is the entry-level motorcycle in this range. It is a sports commuter bike. The base price of the Pulsar 125 motorcycle is Rs. 99,582* in India. The top-spec trim retails in India with an MSRP of Rs. 1, 10,236*. Bajaj offers the motorcycle in 6 variants and an array of colour schemes consisting of 16 types.
The indigenous brand also launched a Carbon Fibre edition of the 125 cc Pulsar. This new variant is available in both single-seat as well as split-seat variants. The changes are somewhat subtle and only Pulsar purists will be able to point them out. For instance, carbon fibre graphics are installed on the belly pan of the bike. The carbon fibre graphics are also installed on the –
- Front fender
- Fuel tank and
- Rear cowl.
The Carbon Fibre edition of this motorcycle is available in blue and red paint jobs. Whichever colour one chooses for their Carbon Fibre edition 125 Pulsar, black will be the base colour. The graphics and paint on the –
- Fuel tank
- Headlight cowl
- Fuel tank shrouds
- Rear pane
- Engine cowl and
- Stripes on the alloy wheels will carry the chosen paint job.
The 125 CC Pulsar Carbon Fibre edition has retained its –
- Single-pod headlight flanked with two DRLs
- The muscular fuel tank
- The bolted fuel tank shrouds
- The hunky side-slung exhaust manifold and
- Dual pillion grab rails for the split-seat version and single-piece grab rail for the single-seat version.
The engine specifications just like the remaining Bajaj bikes in India remain unchanged. The motor is a 124.4 CC, single-cylinder unit. The motor is paired with a five-speed transmission. The peak power and torque outputs are 11.64bhp (at 8,500 RPM) and 10.80Nm (at 6,500 RPM) respectively. The front suspension is a standard fork-style unit. The rear wheel is paired with two gas-charged spring suspensions with dampers. The base trim is offered with dual drum brakes. The top-spec trim is offered with front disc and rear drum brakes. ABS is replaced with Bajaj-patented CBS (Combined Braking System) to keep MSRPs affordable.
